Job Title: Youth Engagement Coordinator

Salary: 12 hours part-time (£25,350 to £29,250 pro rata)

Location: South Northamptonshire

South Northants Youth Engagement (SNYE) are a new youth charity, with funding to promote and coordinate activities and services for local young people across the district. We are offering a unique opportunity to be instrumental in the development of new community-based youth provision in South Northants. We have youth clubs that need support, new provision to develop, and plans for new projects that need your experience and skills to champion the youth work. You will work closely with the youth engagement partnership groups in Brackley and Towcester under the direction of the SNYE.

The right person will have experience of working with young people, running projects, and developing youth provision.

You will establish a local network and work in partnership with community groups and people from the local authority, education, health, leisure, and others. This will see you representing the charity and its work in meetings and on new projects involving SNYE partners and stakeholders.

You will use your excellent interpersonal skills and local knowledge to represent youth providers and young people to influence decision makers about running youth provision and services.

You will work with charity trustees to secure funding and other support to expand and sustain the youth work. You will line-manage the charity’s youth worker and coordinate SNYE’s youth provision.

You will have flexibility in organising your time to carry out the work required.

We offer an attractive salary with extras, including, flexible working, free training, and travel expenses. (There is potential to increase hours through additional funding)
